Artist Statement
I am a queer, Indigenous, Mexican American artist and scholar based out of Southeast Wisconsin. My artistic work explores a variety of themes, many circling back to indigenous spirituality, chronic illness, and political injustice. My pieces follow along my own personal path of healing and navigating a colonized, capitalist nation. Although I began as a painter, I enjoy experimenting with mixed media. I am currently pursuing a BA in Studio Art and a Spanish minor.

As a model, I enjoy photoshoot concepts that explore the world of fantasy or utilize unique makeup/fashion. I have participated in the styling of multiple fashion shows at UW-Whitewater and am continuously trying to find ways to expand my skillset into other creative fields. Although I don’t feature any of my makeup skills within my portfolio here, they can be found on my linked social media.
